Co-Pilot 101

If this is your first visit to the Co-Pilot Collective community, welcome! This community was started by Greg’s Wings Projects, a not-for-profit organization created to initiate projects in honour of Greg Price. Sadly, we lost Greg to testicular cancer that was complicated by preventable delays in his diagnosis and care. We believe that a better, more modern, and patient-centred healthcare system is possible and that it would have helped Greg get the care he needed. We’ve created this community as a forum to discuss and assess the healthcare system we have now and to dream and imagine the healthcare system we want for the future.

Over the next few months, we will explore many topics related to healthcare, so we invite you to visit the community often. Each week we will post new discussions and activities and in a few weeks’ time we will launch a challenge to get everyone thinking about ways to improve access to patient medical records. We want to hear from everyone – medical professionals, patients, caregivers, interested observers – so please add your voice to the conversation.

Greg was, among many other things, a pilot who liked nothing more than to challenge others and understand their perspectives. Your voice as a Co-Pilot is incredibly important and we look forward to hearing your perspective. Here are several things you can do to get started:

  1. Visit the “Waiting Room” and introduce yourself to the other Co-Pilots. This is a place to share stories, ask questions, and connect.
  2. Share your thoughts on “Falling Through the Cracks – Greg’s Story”, if you’ve seen the film.
  3. Tell us how you’d like to participate in the Co-Pilot community by completing this quick activity.

Thanks for joining the Collective. Let’s make some great changes to healthcare together.
